It\u2019s all too easy to ignore world events and pretend that they have no effect or impact on me and others, when that couldn\u2019t be farther from the truth. Everything is connected, and no one exists in a void.<\/p><p>My impact on these events is limited, so I\u2019m doing what I can to bear witness and offer something creative in hopes of causing some beneficial ripples, to a degree. That in itself is a contemplative act. I\u2019m taking inspiration from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.contemplativemind.org\/practices\/tree\">Tree of Contemplative Practices<\/a> at The Center for Contemplative Mind in Society.
